Jeff Purrington is an Identity Strategist at SailPoint with more than 25 years of experience in information security, IT audit, and program management. He helps organizations build and mature identity security programs, aligning their security strategy, governance practices, and implementation roadmaps with business priorities. His work focuses on customers across the utilities, energy, and manufacturing sectors. At SailPoint, Jeff advises organizations on identity security as they move to the cloud, support hybrid workforces, and address the growing challenges of non-human and agentic AI identities. He brings extensive experience in identity and access governance, enterprise application security, risk management, and regulatory compliance. He also speaks at industry and cybersecurity events about the role of identity strategy in securing modern enterprises. Before joining SailPoint in 2022, Jeff held solution engineering and product management roles at Saviynt, served as Director of IT Risk and National Oracle Products Leader at RSM US LLP, and worked in information security services at Accenture. His background includes developing security programs supporting SOX, PCI, and HIPAA compliance, alongside initiatives in privileged access, threat and vulnerability management, and data loss prevention. He holds CISSP and CISA certifications.
