Biography
Amit Parulekar is the Vice President of Data and AI Strategy at Brown-Forman, bringing more than 20 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, and technology. His work focuses on translating complex business challenges into practical data and AI solutions while building the teams, platforms, and organizational capabilities needed to deliver them. At Brown-Forman, Amit leads a global data science team and partners with business and technology leaders to identify high-impact opportunities for advanced analytics and AI. He has developed strategic roadmaps and guided initiatives from initial concept through implementation, overseeing the development and integration of AI applications, models, and algorithms aligned with the company’s responsible AI framework. His work also includes strengthening data infrastructure and engineering partnerships to help solutions scale across the organization. Before joining Brown-Forman in 2022, Amit spent more than 14 years at Humana, most recently as Associate Director of Informatics in the Office of Population Health. He led analytics and technology strategy, partnered with engineering teams to operationalize machine learning models, and developed approaches for scaling cloud-based data products. Earlier roles at Humana and Passport Health Plan established his foundation in predictive analytics, data governance, business intelligence, and product development. Amit emphasizes clear business objectives, strong data foundations, and effective change management as essential components of successful AI adoption. His approach combines technical execution with stakeholder collaboration and talent development to help organizations turn analytical capabilities into business value. In 2026, he was recognized on Louisville Business First’s “Top 20 People in AI” list.
